Every year, Nundah, a suburb of Brisbane, Queensland holds it’s annual Twilight Christmas Market.
This year was no exception.
At the gate, you were greeted by fairies on stilts.
You also paid $3 at the entrance just to enter the market.
[The same market is open for veggie and fruits and breakfast every Sunday - no entry fees needed.]
Perhaps one reason was booze stalls.
They were not particularly cheap. You could not buy any of it paying cash. Nope, you need to have a credit/debit card. The plastic economy has truly arrived in Australia. Nearly 90 percent transactions happen today by plastic. Even ATMs dispensing cash have disappeared - you guessed it - 90 percent - are gone.
There was “exotic” food.
As I was taking the picture of the Korean Corndog (Gamja style). As I was taking this picture, this girl flashed a smile, a V sign and she stuck her tongue out Maa Kali style.
There was a chicken shop or sorts.
Along with a “healthy” Indian food stall. [Do not believe the label.]
Russell Hung provided (free) music.
Politicians were politicking.
And there was carnival style games to win plushy toys.
Executive summary: Food was not particularly cheap (unlike the Sunday veggie and fruits). Ditto for other things. The entry fee was *not* worth it.
